However, unfortunately, I was unable to fully benefit from the consultations. I have already notified the Doctor about incidents that have occurred. Still, I was held responsible for all of them. There were problems such as disorganized secretaries, scheduling appointments and an adjustment of R$ 80.00 more for each appointment without prior notice, despite having agreed on the amount of R$ 400.00 each. In none of these incidents was I supported or received an apology. The secretariat's response was a message saying "I'm sorry for your confusion" and an 8-minute audio from the Doctor, claiming that the clinic's disorganization was, in fact, my lack of interest in seeking information. Furthermore, some of the Dr.'s comments during the consultations brought me sadness and anger. At the first appointment, I had to leave to go to the bathroom and my husband stayed in the room. At that point, the Doctor told him to put me on a leash so I could stop eating. At another appointment, when I mentioned that my son would be "chubby," she replied, "No, he will be healthy." I consider these comments to be fatphobic, especially directed towards a pregnant woman and her baby. This should never happen, especially in this situation. As a doctor, she should know that thinness is not synonymous with health. In a place that is supposed to care for pregnant women and preach special care, I experienced the opposite. The lack of empathy further reinforced what many pregnant women already know: we are completely alone and in the dark. I thought this clinic would be different, but they just sell an idea of ​​magic and welcome that doesn't exist. I hope this feedback serves as an incentive for improvement, rather than as a personal criticism. I hope that you take care of future pregnant women with more attention and care, providing them with better and more welcoming care. They need it and deserve it.
