Dr. Milena dos Reis Bezerra de Souza is a palliative care doctor with extensive experience and training. He graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto (FAMERP) and completed his residency in Clinical Medicine at the Hospital de Base de São José do Rio Preto (HB/FAMERP), with an optional year at the Hospital das Clínicas da Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (HCFMUSP). He has postgraduate degrees in Palliative Care from Pallium Latino America - Oxford University and in Medicinal Cannabis from Instituto Inspirali. In addition, she has extensive professional experience, including roles as preceptor of resident doctors at HCFMUSP, pedagogical coordinator of the Palliative Care team at the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo - ICESP, and coordinator of the Symptom Control and Palliative Care team at the Santa Paula Hospital. Currently, she works as a palliative care doctor in large hospitals in São Paulo, has a private practice and is part of the Palliative Care team at AC Camargo Cancer Center. She also had experience as Treasurer of the National Academy of Palliative Care (ANCP) and President of the southeast region of ANCP.
