Dr. Marcelo Cavalcante Costa works as Head of the Children's Retina, Pediatric and Neonatal Surgery, Telemedicine and Retinopathy of Prematurity Sector at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. In addition, he is a Volunteer Doctor in the Pediatric Ophthalmology Sector at the Hc-fmusp Ophthalmological Clinic at USP and a Neonatal and Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the São Luiz Itaim Hospital and Maternity Hospital in São Paulo. He also serves as Director of Baby Eye Care-sp and Neonatal and Pediatric Ophthalmologist at Hospital Samaritano. Furthermore, he is Secretary of the Ophthalmology Department of the São Paulo Pediatrics Society.
